My most insidious devil cult in a campaign, was a cult made up mostly of very noble people, believing they are fighting the right cause against the demons and want to still fight after they die in the Blood War. Asmodeus himself was even assigning more honest and honorable (still evil) devils to be summoned by them or working with them. Because those were good mostly good and neutral people in that cult, they were drawing in a lot more of good and neutral souls, which are worth much more.

I love the new art style, but the composition of the piece could be better. It is quite busy and doesn't evoke the same sense of danger and action as the 5e or pathfinder covers. Nor the mystery of the 3e and 4e covers. The art is beautifully drawn but the way it has been laid out doesn't seem focused.

On blade ward, does fall damage count as bludgeoning damage?

Maybe one day you’ll finally do the beasts tier list. It will probably be a while because most beasts are just animals and have simple mechanics and no role-playing hooks. I would like to see a dog though.

When looking at the Abrahamic Satan, and trying to figure out what fantasy archdevil is closest. I find I have to figure out which satan I am trying to figure out. The name translates to 'adversary', but there are more then one in the old testament, and while only one in the new testament, they are more akin to a prosecuting attorney, that uses entrapment to then convict. Many episodes of the tv series cops showed this happening. For me Asmodeus fits that well. This was fascinating, and I like the Archdevil Levistus, so yeah he could be one that fit's the title. But in my head cannon I see him as an avatar of another being, and before I found the other being in the books for the game, used him as a stand in.

Definitely an interesting monster and I can already see myself using it as a mini boss for a party searching through a abandoned laboratory

Levistus' crime was the attempt at bringing air conditioning to the 9 hells. His other patrons include HVAC companies who prey on the elderly & those who cant pay their electricity bills.

I wish there was more ofthis series. We could have quotes that Druids or Rangers use. Quotes that barbarians use. Quotes that Sorcerers used before slinging fire bolt at you.

HI Buddy; Just as an aside, I posted this comment whilst viewing a MR Rhexx vid. I thought you may appreciate the little touch of nostalgia it evokes; :) I'm confident there's a few Old Salts that like me, remember the days of the D&D "Satanic Panic" that took place throughout the early '80s. In addition to all the Devils and Demons we used throughout our games, utilizing the Undead also fueled the fire well above bbq levels of heat. The hilariously bad 1982 film "Mazes and Monsters", starring a young upstart named Tom Hanks, also attempted to decry how our souls were going straight to hell for playing such an EVIL game. It got pretty wild for a while there. Funny to think about now but at the time, Lobby Groups tried their best to send us gamers underground and created a lot of Press against the game. Many of us seasoned Vets have since declared; "well, if we survived that, we can survive anything!" Sadly, Hasbro and WotC as of late, continues to try our patience in maintaining that mind-set.

So at a certain point in this video you seemingly imply that you can’t have conflict or “evil” characters without making entire races of beings innately evil. I’m not sure if that’s what you were going for exactly but you kind of hitting similar points I’ve heard from others that definitely mean that when they say this. I just gotta say that making a race evil just because has got to be some of the most boring and laziest storytelling and world building people can possibly do. There isn’t any substantive tension or conflict when the bad guys are bad just because they’re bad. Being evil isn’t good motivation for antagonists and entire races of things being evil is so unrealistic and boring that nothing ruins my suspension of belief quicker. I think they’re doing a good job softening some of the more insensitive or abrasive races if only for the fact that it gets rid of a terrible narrative crutch and forces people to actually be creative.
